Upper Deck Announces Autograph Checklist for 2009 MLB Spectrum

Upper Deck recently announced the checklist for the “Spectrum of a Stars” Autograph insert set in the upcoming baseball card release of 2009 MLB Spectrum.

Kosuke Fukudome Short Printed Variation Rookie Card

Upper Deck has announced that Chicago Cubs right fielder Kosuke Fukudome has a short printed rookie card in 2008 Upper Deck Series 2 Baseball. Upper Deck’s baseball brand manager Jason Masherah was quoted saying “Fukudome has a huge following in Japan and we felt it necessary to recognize that by creating this rare version which will likely be very popular in Asia.”

The cards are generating some buzz on the secondary market, particular with Japanese collectors. Below is a picture of the regular card, as well as the front and back of the rare version.
